Marivic Rufino at The Pen
MANILA, Philippines - Maria Victoria “Marivic” Rufino mounts her 17th solo art exhibit titled “Romanza II, Dreamscapes 2012” at The Gallery, The Peninsula Manila on Feb. 22.
“Romanza II” will feature the original 20 artworks that were part of an exhibit presented by the Philippine Embassy in Spain at the Museo Nacional de Antropologia. On view also are new paintings as well as lamps, furniture, bags, and pillows. The artist also experimented with new materials in collages. The paintings are spiritual and romantic dreamscapes, which she painted from memory.
The show is on view until Feb. 27.

‘Sining sa Kongreso 2’ at the House of Representatives
The Congressional Spouses Foundation led by its president Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte-Alimurong, in cooperation with Art Gallery Asia, presents “Sining sa Kongreso” on view until Feb. 23 at the South Wing lobby of the House of Representatives, Quezon City.
On view are artworks by National Artists Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Ang Kiukok, Arturo Luz, BenCab, Napoleon Abueva, Fernando Amorsolo, Jerry Navarro, Jose Joya, H.R. Ocampo and Vicente Manansala. Other artists include Eduardo Castrillo, Juvenal Sanso, Nena Saguil, Onib Olmedo, Oscar Zalameda and Ramon Orlina.
