MANILA, Philippines - On its 25th year as Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) resident classical company, the Philippine Ballet Theatre (PBT) presents a story about a poor orphan who turns into a princess with the help of a fairy godmother.
Children and adults through the ages have been thrilled by this endearing story, Cinderella, which will be staged on Sept. 16, 8 p.m., and Sept. 17, with a matinee at 3 p.m. and an evening show at 8 p.m. The last show is on Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.
The well-loved story is by French choreographer Jean Paul Comelin and staged by PBT’s young artistic director Ronilo Jaynario to the music of Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.
