MANILA, Philippines - Viola presents his latest collection of oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings in “Promettre,” on view until Feb. 26 at the GSIS Museum, GSIS Bldg., Financial Center, Pasay City.
The artworks, according to the artist, can be divided into four groups: his set of musings on the spiritual aspect of life, his collection of abstract landscapes combining skies with extra-dimensional realms, his group of works about church structures juxtaposed with geometric symbols, and his portraits of quaint people in prayer.
“Promettre” is a project of the Summa-Hana Language and Arts Foundation, proceeds of which will go to the foundation’s Art with H.E.A.R.T. (Humanistic Effort To Advance Rare Talent) program.
“We should always have a connection with a power higher than us,” says the artist.
