Alex and Han Van Hagen at The Peninsula

MANILA, Philippines - Inspired by the success of their exhibit held in early 2007, Dutch brothers Alex and Han Van Hagen will once again showcase their respective oeuvres in “Van Hagen & Van Hagen: Brothers in Art 2” which opens on March 5 at The Gallery of The Peninsula Manila in Makati City. The show runs until March 10.

The exhibit features Alex’s striking photographs and Han’s exquisite copper etchings.

Part of the proceeds will benefit the Real Life Foundation, an educational advocacy organization dedicated to serving the poor.

Ranelle Dial, Poklong Anading and Christopher Zamora at West Gallery

West Gallery presents three exhibits featuring the works of Ranelle Dial, Poklong Anading, and Christopher Zamora. The shows are on view until March 26 at West Gallery, Mary Santos Artcade, 48 West Ave., QC.

Dial’s “Guesstimate” features artworks that depict and examine hand gestures, while Anading focuses on photographing circular rags that he found lying around in the street.

Zamora, on the other hand, intends to magnify the images of the youth who are susceptible to the shadows of contemporary lifestyles in “Infectious.”

‘Kamuning’ at Lunduyan Art Gallery

Martinez Art Project (MAP) members Ling Quisumbing Ramilo, Popo San Pascual, Pancho Villanueva, Gari Buenavista, Guido Maria Inocencio, Maria Katrina Tan, Raymond Lee, Diding Ramilo, Joanne Cantiller, Perla Zita, Btoi, Lek Infante, Ian Quisumbing, Tin-tin Quisumbing, Rocelie Delfin, Jingle Munar, Andong, and Fem present a kaleidoscope of people, places, and events in “Kamuning” which opens on March 8 at Lunduyan Art Gallery, 88 Kamuning Rd., QC. The show runs until March 26.

Christina Quisumbing Ramilo will curate the exhibit.

‘Rurok’ at SM Art Center

Makati Artist Guild members Mel Cabriana, Aina Valencia, Fanny Blanco, Abby Yao, Lita Gelano, Helen Marisol, Peter Sutcliffe, Obi Mapua, Stella Torres, Molly Yap, Rubee Alcantara, Tess Mapua, Hardian Mendoza, and Thomas Daquioag scale the peak in “Rurok” which is on view until March 12 at SM Art Center, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

The artists express their personal reflection on the show’s title, which lends itself to both literal and figurative interpretations.

‘Bata ng Sining’ at ArtisCorpus Gallery
