MANILA, Philippines — We must work hard at being beautiful, but we must also relax to keep remaining beautiful.
Miss Universe 2017 candidates recently received a warm welcome in the Philippines — which included some spa-mpering.

After the ladies arrived in the country, BlueWater Day Spa co-hosted for them an exclusive dinner party at the Eclipse Bar of Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City.
Held in cooperation with Frontrow Productions and the Department of Tourism, the night was nothing short of spectacular, with three queens sharing the stage. Taking their places on stage were Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. They were also joined by some Miss Universe 2017 candidates.
BlueWater Day Spa stepped in to help the ladies relax and get ready for their hectic schedules over the next few days. The spa company opened its doors to the Miss Universe 2017 candidates, who toured its modern spa facilities in Makati City.
Maria Polverino of Italy, Kseniya Alexandrova or Russia and Manuela Bruntraeger of Singapore kicked off their heels as they enjoyed a relaxing foot reflexology massage. They delighted in the soothing ambiance of the modern facility and found themselves truly rejuvenated.
The spa’s unique foot reflexology massage uses a combination of oils and rhythmic movements (executed by skilled massage therapists), which help to relieve the tensions that resides deep within the leg muscles and the foot. In addition to foot reflexology, the spa company also offers a wide range of treatments — from intensely rejuvenating massages to deep cleansing facials, as well as sculpting and toning treatments that help one maintain a toned physique.
“We are so honored to have the most beautiful women around the world join us here at our spa,” said Nancy Go, the spa’s operations manager. “With their packed schedules and hectic tours, a quick escape here was just what these ladies needed. They’re up on their feet the whole day and doing their countries proud while sharing their advocacies.”
CEO Mary Simisim said, “Miss Universe candidates embody the modern woman: they are smart, compassionate, driven and hardworking. We aim to remind them — as well as other women in the country — that as you pursue your passions and dreams, you must maintain your well-being.”
