Lace romantique

From Luis “Chito” de los Santos comes a collection that envelopes an atmosphere of sensuous sophistication with a romantic flair of timeless elegance.

“I am most inspired by stylish European women of the ‘50s, more distinctly the French women in the movie La Vie En Rose. They were the muses for my Lace Romantique collection,” de los Santos shares.

Blush pink, mauve, nude and black are the choice colors for this time of the year. Fabrics such as stretch lace, dull satin and jersey are used to hug the body. Low-defined necklines, fitted ruffled sleeves combined with flared bottom such as pleated skirts, flared pants and trumpet godet skirts complete the silhouette while wrap belts give emphasis to the figure.

The highlights in this collection are the different lace patterns dramatically juxtaposed against skin-toned jersey lining that envelopes the torso and flares down to the hem. Lace flowers and lace appliqué decorate the neckline, shoulders and sleeves while tulle-covered acrylic stones, crystal beads and flat sequins are elegantly embellished on the lace patterns.
