A treat from SIA & SilkAir

MANILA, Philippines - Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir passengers transiting in Singapore until June 30 will now be entitled to $40 worth of Changi Dollar Vouchers (CDVs) — double the amount since the Changi Transit Programme (CTP) was launched in October 2012. Under the CTP, SIA or SilkAir passengers travelling beyond Singapore and transiting at Changi Airport are entitled to CDVs, which can be used to purchase products and services within the airport.

To qualify for the CDVs, passengers must travel beyond Singapore on SIA or SilkAir on both their inbound and outbound flights with a 13-digit electronic ticket receipt number beginning with 618 or 629. Eligible customers should present both the electronic ticket and boarding pass of their Singapore-bound flight at any of the seven Information Counters in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3 to claim the vouchers.

The CDVs are valid for one-time use at more than 450 retail, food and service outlets in the transit and public areas of Terminals 1, 2 and 3, excluding outlets in the Arrival Baggage Claim Halls.

Ranjan Jha, SIA general manager for the Philippines, Guam and USTT, said, “Coupled with Changi Airport’s renowned transit experience, and with Singapore Airlines’ and SilkAir’s extensive flight network, transiting at Changi is now even more compelling.”

In addition to the CDVs, transit passengers can enjoy even more privileges and discounts by presenting their SIA or SilkAir boarding pass at participating stores under the Boarding Pass Privileges (BPP) program. Under the BPP program, SIA and SilkAir passengers get discounts on select stores just by presenting their boarding pass within seven days of travel. Participating stores include Esprit, Harrods, Tommy Hilfiger, Burger King and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. The CDVs can also be used together with BPP at participating outlets at Changi Airport.
