Flawless and radiant

MANILA, Philippines - In an industry that thrives on glamour, it is important to always look your best. Rima Ostwani knows this too well. She wears many hats as a commercial model, fashion consultant, TV host and actress.

“I meet and interact with a lot of people every day and the way I look and carry myself gives a person an instant impression of me. As the saying goes, first impressions last. So, always try to be beautiful because it will definitely make you feel good about yourself,” says Rima, 26, an alumna of the De La Salle Univeristy. She is now the new image endorser of Glupa whitening products.

Born to a Syrian father and a Spanish-German mother, Rima is blessed with a slender physique and striking Middle Eastern features. Her beauty, however, does not end with her natural gifts.

For Rima, looking beautiful means following a daily regimen that includes getting enough sleep, eating a well-balanced diet, drinking lots of water, taking vitamin supplements, exercising regularly and always maintaining a positive outlook in life.

“I also use cleansing gel, toner and Glupa cream for my face and dark spots, Glupa soap and lotion for my body.” she reveals.

She says Glupa is very effective in keeping her skin fair, glowing, healthy and radiant. It lightens her sun spots as well and makes her confident to wear short dresses, sleeveless and backless tops.

Aiza Diuco-Soriano, founder and CEO of Age Defying Solutions Philippines Corp. (ADSPHIL), the company that manufactures Glupa, points out that their product is not just for those with darker skin.

“For those who have fair complexion like Rima, the challenge is how to maintain an even fair skin all over,” Aiza shares. “Glupa helps maintain her white glow and aids in removing freckles common to mestizas like her. For those who love their moreno complexion like our other endorser Boy Abunda, Glupa does wonders in making their skin tone even.”

In selecting Rima as the newest endorser of Glupa, Aiza has this to say: “Rima has both beauty and brains. She is beauty with substance.”

For her part, Rima also did her homework before agreeing to become an endorser.

“The first thing that drew me to Glupa is Ms. Aiza herself. The first time I was introduced to her, I was in awe because she herself is a walking advertisement of how effective her product is. Her skin is flawlessly white from head to toe and I was completely in admiration,” she says.

Like Rima, Aiza knows how to take care of herself. She follows an even more detailed regimen that also incorporates her recommended use of her products.

“I wash my face in the morning with Glupa soap to unclog pores, remove impurities, kill germs and wash away excess oils my skin produced during the night. I follow it up with a toner to shrink pores and tighten the skin then I use Glupa Powerful whitening cream with SPF 15 before putting on makeup,” Aiza shares. “At night, I use an oil-based eye makeup remover. I then wash my face at night with Glupa soap to remove makeup, dirt and oil that accumulated on my face during the day. I follow it up with a toner then lastly, I put Glupa Powerful Whitening Cream on my face and neck and dark spots to make my skin fair, smooth and young-looking all over.”

In doing her own research on Glupa, Rima discovered how effective it is with its unique combination of papaya and reduced glutathione.

“I read so many positive reviews about it. I have friends who rave about it. Then I started trying the product myself and saw the difference. It is really effective,” she says.

Rima’s very pleasant experience with the products did not come as a surprise to Aiza who says that Glupa is actually based on sound scientific research.

“It is the only skin whitening product in the world that combines the power of the two most powerful and proven effective anti-aging and whitening agents: glutathione and papaya. Its formulation is protected by a patent,” she points out. “In our research, we discovered that papaya alone cannot maintain the white skin it has revealed through exfoliation of dead skin cells. Combining it with reduced glutathione is very important because glutathione lightens the skin by converting the amino acid tyrosine (precursor of melanin) into pheomelanin, a lighter-colored pigment rather than into the black-brown pigment known as eumelanin.”

But while Glupa is now a key component in making sure that one looks beautiful at all times, both Rima and Aiza recommend that for best results, it should also be used alongside a healthy diet and an active and stress-free lifestyle.

“I believe in what Sophia Loren once said: ‘Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.’ We are all beautiful in our own right but we must also always strive to maintain and take care of our bodies to stay beautiful,” Rima concludes.
