Muay Thai, my bride

“The goal in marriage is not to think alike, but to think together.”  – Robert Dodds

Love of sports ended in a walk down the aisle. This is the gist of the love story of Ann Lorraine “Rain” Chan Lu, daughter of Abner and Alice Lu, and Kendrick Andrew Lim Tan, son of Andrew and Katherine Tan, who tied the knot at the Santuario de San Jose Church in East Greenhills, Mandaluyong. Rain and Kendrick met while attending the same gym training for Muay Thai. It was two years later when Kendrick popped the question. To accommodate 700 guests, the reception was held simultaneously at the Grand Ballroom and Garden Room of the Marriot Hotel Manila. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous five-course dinner amidst pink and purple flowers and music provided by the Manila Symphony Orchestra. Rain was simply radiant in a gown by Paul Cabral. Not to be easily forgotten was a program featuring Broadway-like performances by the Resorts World Manila dancers. To cap off the evening, an after-party affair followed at the Genting Club in Maxims Tower, where the guests drank and danced the night away. Here’s wishing you all the best in your new life as a couple, Rain and Kendrick!
