Rem Divino has come a long way from eight years back when he was discovered through his eyecatching window displays. His elegant gowns have graced such national icons — former President Gloria Arroyo to former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Having worked with several designers through the years, this columnist can say with certainty that what sets Divino apart from other designers is his professionalism. Divino comes on time, personally oversees each creation, is thoroughly engaged with his clients and never morphed into a diva designer.
As designs go, Divino is known for his clean lines and his love for subdued detail. “I get my inspiration from books, movies and interesting people that I meet in my work,” Divino shares. “I embrace the old principles of design: hard work and an eye for detail and quality are the elements of success. There are no shortcuts.”
