“Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will.” — Jawaharlal Nehru
The charming Tessie Amparo, one of Manila’s hardworking ladies, recently marked her birthday with a fun-filled bash at the Manila Polo Club. The Main Lounge was filled to the brim with well wishers including her loving family and relatives as well as longtime friends. Her active co-members from different civic organizations such as the Rotary Anns of the Rotary Club of Makati were also present to celebrate with her. Highlighting the evening was the excellent musical entertainment provided by special guests Pepz Bengzon, former solicitor general lawyer Frank Chavez, multi-awarded singer Jose Mari Chan and actor Ricky Davao. The occasion became more meaningful as the celebrator turned the event into a fundraiser for the benefit of poor but deserving scholars.
Happy birthday, Tessie!
