Immortalizing the Rotary

“Paint a masterpiece daily. Always autograph your work with excellence.” — Greg Hickman

The Forbes Park Pavilion was filled with over 350 close friends, colleagues and family as Paing Hechanova — Philippine Olympian, top international and Philippine Rotarian, architect and astute business executive and more recently, a fine author, launched his first book entitled Love for Others is What Rotary Is. Dapper as usual and the ultimate gentleman even when he was a hard-court heartthrob playing for the UST Goldies and the Philippine Olympic team, Paing cut a smart figure beside his wife Mely, who was beaming in a golden cocktail dress. Your columnist emceed the program commencing with a tribute for Paing by golfing buddy and former President Fidel V. Ramos. The party ended in the wee hours with many guests in a state of awe and admiration for this multifaceted man. Great job, Paing!
