A touch of gold

"The strongest principle of growth lies in human choice."– George Eliot

All roads led to the greens as excited golfers vied for trophies and amazing prizes at the 38th Golden Tee Invitational Tournament at Manila Golf. Led by Manila Golf and Country Club president Martin Romualdez and Tournament committee chairman Raoul Romulo, the much awaited yearly event gathered the best golfers in friendly competition. The colorful two-day affair reached its height during the awarding ceremonies, highlighted by the presentation of the perpetual trophy and entertainment by singer comedienne Mitch Valdes and The Bloomfields. Special awardees and Golden Tee winners were honored with their own trophies and plaques while premium prizes were given away in the raffle through the generosity of the event’s sponsors which included to companies such as Smart Infinity and Heritage Park.

Was it sheer luck that made Jose Guingona, winner of hole-in-one prize, go home with a brand new Mercedes Benz, Philip Romualdez with a new Chevrolet Optra, or better yet, Jimmy Pangilinan and Nick Tuason with Philippine Airlines round trip business class tickets to Las Vegas? Other lucky participants received an EZ-Go golf cart, luxury watches from Lucerne, home theater systems, cellphones, iPODs, golf accessories and more. Try and beat that! Year after year, this prestigious golf tournament gets better and better. Once again, organizers of the Golden Tee never failed to make this tournament the one to remember.

Congratulations!
