Women of substance

"Beauty is not caused. It is."– Emily Dickinson

What do all these sophisticated, prominent, educated and beautiful ladies – Imelda Ongsiako-Cojuangco, Chito Madrigal- Collantes, Rosemarie Arenas, Carolyn Masibay-Garcia, Amparito Lhuillier, Criselda Lontok, Gina Lopez, Chuchu Madrigal-Eduque, Julie Manning, Therese Coronel-Santos, Gul Tanghe, Gina de Venecia, Maricris Zobel and Vicky Zubiri – have in common? They were the recipients of the 2004 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines Awards organized by the Philippine Cancer Society. These ladies have not only achieved success in their chosen fields, but have been transformed into modern-day philanthropists with their generosity and compassion for the less fortunate. The 2005 awards, presented by San Miguel Corp. and Lifestyle Asia, will be the second year of the gala affair and will be held on Oct. 10 at Grand Ballroom of the Kalakbay Awardee, Mandarin Oriental Manila.

Who’s your bet for this year’s Best Dressed Women of the Philippines?
