A Royal Thai reception

Dusit Hotel Nikko, one of Makati’s most elegant hotels, recently hosted an intimate cocktail reception in honor of the Royal Thai Embassy. The event was well received by the Thai diplomatic community. No less than Asha Dvitiyananda, ambassador of the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Royal Thai Embassy, led the exclusive guest list.

Dusit GM Ikuo Itoi, together with his dynamic management team, warmly welcomed the diplomatic corps to the Drum and Bass function room. An array of sumptuous cocktails was especially prepared by the expert chefs of the hotel’s celebrated Asian specialty outlets: Benjarong, Benkay and Fiesta San Miguel. Karaoke entertainment also delighted the guests.

Cheers to Dusit Hotel Nikko and the Royal Thai Embassy!
A Tokyo gala lunch for diplomats
The Philippines recently participated in the Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) Gala Luncheon, held at Hotel Okura in Tokyo. Our country was ably represented by Ambassador Domingo Siazon Jr. and his wife, talented artist Kay Siazon.

The event was highlighted by the presence of Princess Sayuko, the daughter of the Emperor, Princess Hitachi and Madame Mutsuko Miki, wife of former Prime Minister Takeo Miki.

During the luncheon, each ALFS member country received a check for its share of the charity’s total earnings from the past year’s fund-raising events. The Philippine Embassy will donate its share to charitable organizations in the country.

Congratulations to the Siazons for their hard work and for keeping the Philippines in the diplomatic map!
