Impress for less!

A common belief is that you have to spend a million bucks to look like one. Nothing can be further from the truth! Modern-day technology has advanced in such a way that almost every type of makeup will be safe on your skin. With the exception of a few of us who are ultra-sensitive to any topical application, we now have a slew of multi-tasking items that are not only varied in colors, texture and form, they also are so easy on the pocket! Below are a few of the items that you can find in my purse or cabinet. Most of these highly-effective little gems cost less than P200!

I love Lip Ice for its cool feel but in truth, a lip balm in stick form is a must-have no matter what the brand. Any nickel and dime type of balm can act as moisturizer to your lips (most have SPF for that extra protection against UVA rays!). I always advise ladies to carry lip balm in their purse because it acts as a wonderful makeup remover (for small areas like raccoon eyes caused by runny eye shadow), it also helps even out blush tones easily. Finally, when you are in a foreign country where you have to use a smelly bathroom, dabbing peppermint lip balm helps mask the bad odor.

This lip pencil gives smooth and silky coverage and comes in a good range of popular colors. I swear by its brick red shade. Red Earth line of products also carries a dual tip lip pencil (two colors on either side). I love layering colors and with how much these babies cost, you can layer to your heart’s content!

If you want that rebonded look without having to shell out thousands of bucks, apply some Monea onto your hair. Not only will your hair look sleek, it will have the most incredible shine that is usually reserved for hair commercials!

How can you not buy Ever Bilena eye shadow? Twenty-four colors for coffee money! Colors smooth on effortlessly and come in a wide range of tones.

Another Avon discovery that has my Uptown/Downtown stamp of approval! After a week, the freckles on my face lightened and my skin tone did get more even!

I was at first skeptical about Avon’s Anew Perfect eye cream. The ad claimed that you would see the lines under your eyes start to fade after a week. Well, what would you know after a week! I did see a visible improvement!

We are back to Ever Bilena again! I use the colorless mascara on my eyebrows to secure a perfect arch. The black mascara is compact and sleek. I bend the wand to get better control of the brush when I apply the product onto my lashes. Other brands charge you an arm and a leg for their curved brushes. It is really silly to spend so much when it only takes a second to bend the wand to shape!

This product is so effective that you will be shocked at how inexpensive it is! Dab a little cleanser on your fully made-up face and tissue the look off! A quick rinse will have your face squeaky clean in no time! Even waterproof mascara and creams are no match for this product. Best of all, one six-oz. tube will last you several months!
