The German-designed state-of-the-art, 375-square meter showroom at Pioneer cor. Reliance Sts., Mandaluyong City, featured seven SieMatic kitchens featuring Sub-Zero refrigerators, freezers, wine storage units and Wolf ranges, ovens, warming drawers, cook tops and hoods.
Hosted by your columnist, the opening was well-attended by high-profile personalities led by the Federal Republic of Germanys Ambassador Herbert Jess and his lovely wife Michelin; Jaime Zobel de Ayala; Joe Concepcion; Sari Cojuangco; Peter Garrucho; Rufo Colayco; Marixi Prieto; Tessa Valdes; and Richard and Lucy Gomez.
"The design of a new kitchen fulfills many peoples dreams. People all worldwide share the vision of combining personal and functional requirements, comfort and aesthetics with the goal of making their kitchen the living center of their household," said SieMatic Far East Office managing director Volker Betsch who flew in to Manila to grace the showrooms opening.
The quality of the kitchen has improved much over the years. It is no longer thought of as an inconspicuous, laborious workplace. More than any other room in the home, todays kitchen is an expression of personal ideas and individual lifestyles.
Also lending support during the opening were Sub-Zeros Grant Riggs, Kurtis Hargens and Mike Avery as well as Sub-Zero distributors from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand, who all flew in for the grand opening.
The evenings highlight was the raffle of a Sub-Zero freestanding wine storage unit.
The opening of the SieMatic, Sub-Zero and Wolf showroom bodes well for people who share a passion for kitchens and cooking. Through SieMatics exceptional designs and programs, the Filipino kitchen is sure to become the center of every household.
