The Philippines-New Zealand Business Council (PNZBC) warmly welcomed New Zealand’s new Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Catherine McIntosh, during the Council’s Business Forum held on May 29, 2024.
Ambassador McIntosh expressed her delight in commencing her assignment soon after the Philippines’ exceptional hosting of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. She highlighted the exciting vision set by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Prime Minister Luxon to elevate the New Zealand-Philippines relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership by 2026.
With the shared bilateral goal to grow two-way trade 50% by 2030, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise introduced the new Trade Commissioner to the Philippines, Cecilia Shand.
The Business Forum also featured the chairman of the Philippines Veterans Bank and Former Secretary of Finance, Dr. Roberto de Ocampo, who imparted insights on the state of the Philippine economy.
