Did you know that the Philippines is the top seller among Asian countries of the Carolina Herrera brand?

Country manager Cristina “Obee” Ham shared this during a viewing of the latest CH leatherware and clothing in CH’s Greenbelt 5 store.

I was not surprised. CH has a niche following here, mostly women who go for quiet elegance, restraint and refinement.

“Elegance isn’t solely defined by what you wear,” Carolina Herrera said. “It’s how you carry yourself, how you speak, what you wear.”  Born in Venezuela, Herrera had a privileged childhood. True luxury exists in subdued opulence — that is the brand’s philosophy.

Her bag’s enduring elegance reflects the over 11 hours of handiwork in the Leather Atelier in Spain, and meticulous work by over 24 craftsmen.

The latest in the CH line of leatherware is the Initials Insignia Soft Bag, one that can be comfortably carried for both casual and evening wear, as it has two choices for the handle.

Jackie Kennedy Onassis was a devout believer in the CH brand, which is available in 105 countries. And so are many women of elegance in Manila.
