BOC intercepts P11.6 million shabu

MANILA, Philippines — Over P11.6 million worth of shabu from South Africa has been seized by the Bureau of Customs.
BOC agents found 1.7 kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride hidden in car parts at the Port of Clark.
Bound for Angeles City, the shipment that arrived on Aug. 5 contained 17 packages of shabu.
Authorities issued a warrant of seizure and detention for the shipment.
“Seizing illegal drugs is not the only thing that is important. Every successful operation means stopping more dangerous illegal drugs from reaching families and Filipino communities,” Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said.
