Horoscope

September 08, 2004

- Joyce Jillson -
The moon accompanies the sun in Virgo, the sign of health and beauty. The Virgo influence tends to make us compare ourselves constantly to those who are at the top of our field or chief in our category. Though the atmosphere demands that we do our best, it is important to recognize that most pressures are perceived, not real. Have confidence in yourself. Watch the details – rushing to get it all done might not be smart.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Put your security first, as others will disregard it. Investment clubs prove lucky. Your sizable contributions of time, money and energy aren’t recognized unless you speak up. Your communication skills are superb.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
The sale or purchase of used items allows for a luxury. The best kind of revenge is had when you shine before those who doubted your talent. Tonight, you do a graceful balancing act between love and responsibility.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
You may be using an external aid for an internal wound – start healing by examining your emotional self. Money follows logical thought. Stop procrastinating. It’s now or never. You will succeed in competitive situations.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Make important appointments with professionals – prominent people are happy to hear from you. Handle complaints yourself. Assume new responsibilities. Children can read your mind. You are on the verge of a major change.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You are at the end of a slump in productivity. A change in your living arrangement frees up your creative energy. Sibling communication improves family morale. A coincidental meeting or blind date turns into something spectacular.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (September 8).
Your superstar quality cannot be denied. A series of short excursions around November will convince the boss that you are an invaluable addition to top decision-making bodies at work. Trysts that begin in January get a special touch of luck. Married couples travel to nearby romantic getaways in February. A windfall is an excellent excuse to start a side business or invest in equipment before spring.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
A whim should be acted on definitely but not extremely. Added sex appeal has you suddenly picking and choosing dates for the week. Keep your head when an extra wad of cash puts you in the spending mood.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23).
Friends rate you No. 1 at creating fun. Your diverse interests allow you to expand your social circle. Invest in yourself and your talent. A strong love relationship will triumph over petty tests and emotional challenges.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
When the spotlight comes your way, you step naturally into the center. It’s all right to be skeptical of a too-good-to-be-true situation. You are the object of a tender infatuation – try and be compassionate, even if it gets tiresome.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Opportunities flood your desk, and you may have difficulty making the right choice. You are released from a social or family obligation. An idea that was originally rejected is finally accepted. You are most creative late at night.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Remember to stand up for yourself. Leadership impresses the boss. The opinion of a loved one is correct. Swallow your pride, and accept it. Give support to a loved one, even if you do not understand their plight.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Take advantage of your new popularity at work, and ask for favors. Do not rely on gossip when making decision about whether to stay at current job. A seemingly friendly rival at work is much more serious than you think.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
The boss maybe in a grumpy mood, so do not take things too personally at work. Follow the advice of a relative on the subject of love. Relax, and concentrate on being as healthy as possible. Children’s activities are fun for all.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
A Pisces writes, "Recently, while traveling, I met a Sagittarius I can’t get off my mind. Maybe he has someone else, but I just don’t know; we’ve talked occasionally on the phone since I got back, but I haven’t expressed my feelings to him. Have I just mistaken kindness for romantic interest?"

It sounds like you are worrying yourself into a little Pisces puddle – not an untypical thing for Fishes to do in times of confusion. If you’ve been the one to do all the calling since your return, then, your friend may not be as eager to continue to the friendship as you are. On the other hand, if a Sagittarius is just being kind, we usually know it right away, because they are not very good at subtle interaction and are likely to make some awkward remark that gives the whole thing away. They like to play the field, but they aren’t usually secretive about it, so you’d have heard if there was someone serious in his life. In fact, they are great in frank discussions. The next time he calls, tell him that you are still thinking about the good times you had together on the trip, and ask him if he returns the feelings.
