Horoscope

May 25,2004

- Joyce Jillson -
The new moon is in Taurus, so we close one emotional cycle and begin another. We want the physical world to reflect new feelings. It’s an excuse to shop, and with Taurus craving the luxurious, it’s also an excuse to spend more money than you’ve got. Be careful, though. New clothes can really never fill you up internally.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Once you’ve mastered traditional ways, everyone is eager to support you in branching out. Success in entrepreneurial ventures could begin with a simple seminar or workshop. You’ll never know if you don’t sign up!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
There’s a breezy flow today. Your enjoyment of family life is contingent on lots of creative energy zipping around the home. Elder family members need plenty of attention and respect – they have much to contribute.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Why make things harder than they need to be? Take a step back from a complicated situation, and see if you can look at the scene from a few different points of view. Get junk off the premises. You’ll think more clearly.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
What you’re doing for your community or your country becomes the main concern. Keep integrity high. Accepting your need for recognition creates better health. Denying it only attracts negative situations.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Being educated is linked to being happy. You know what to be satisfied with and what not to accept as the best someone can do. A Libra or Pisces makes you feel like the most attractive, important person in the world.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 25).
You’re able to turn your liabilities into assets! Keep seeing the best in others, and they see the best in you! You could make a mint in June by doing a job no one else can. July presents the end of a cycle. Personal satisfaction means deciding to focus your energy where you are better appreciated. Love with a Sagittarius or Pisces is favored. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 53, 49, 19 and 7.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
The day is wrought with emotional complexity. Nothing is cut and dried – feelings run deep and are easily swayed. You don’t have to decide yet; see what happens. Creativity is high where critical forces are kept at bay.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Hold out for the best. Even excellent offers will be topped if you believe you can have more. Guard against mistakes by handling paperwork yourself. Commitments in love are around the bend. Are you ready?

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
You’re extremely generous. Caution: Don’t suffocate a young person with your demands – he or she needs personal experience to grow. Kick up your heels tonight, play hard, and then drift into romantic reveries.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
What makes perfect sense to you is rather off the wall to someone else. Friends may not fully understand you, but they’re trying. You come to a family member’s rescue – again. Romantic developments happen tonight.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Hard work and long hours win you recognition at the office. If you can just cut out one single substance, your health is better. Stop wondering whether you are noticed by that special someone – you are.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
You outshine the competition. You’re excellent at tailoring your service to an individual client. If you work on commission, it’s a record day. Children act out for lack of creative outlets. Play, and be joyful!

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
People feel they can confide in you, even though sometimes you’d rather not hear it. Keep your criticism in check. Friends have financial tips. They could be lucrative, but don’t invest until you research further.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"My 13-year marriage was horrible, and I was such a wreck when my ex-husband and I split that it took me a while to start heading in the right direction. Who am I kidding? I’m still trying to find a direction. I have a boyfriend who is patient and loves me like nothing I have ever known, but he doesn’t keep down a job. I need to file bankruptcy to pull myself out of the huge hole I have myself in. All I do is cry, and it’s not good for my sons to see me this way. Is my boyfriend the one? Will things turn around? Me: April 23, 1957. Him: Oct. 26, 1957."

Life is trying to change you, but with three Taurus planets in your chart, life has to knock you to the ground before you "get it." Your Scorpio man provides comfort and healing on a sensual level, but I see his work situation as more of the same though the next two years. Can’t live with it? Move. I suggest an entire "pattern interrupt" for you. Get yourself on a reality television show, or start a video diary at home. You need to be more aware of how your choices have led you to where you are and how they can lead you out of it just as easily.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
So far, Janet Jackson has had a rough year. She took the flak for her "wardrobe malfunction" during the Super Bowl halftime show but kept up the necessary publicity appearances to support her new album," Damita Jo." Like any Taurus, she’s working hard and doing what she needs to for her career. I predict a new side of Jackson will shine this year when she adopts a fresh, more buttoned-down look.
