Horoscope

May 22, 2004

- Joyce Jillson -
This is the week’s most energetic day. The Aries moon drives us forward with a fire in our bellies. If you’re working over the weekend, you get tons accomplished – if playing, watch out! Leisure is no mild-mannered event. You may fall in love or at least think you are. The conquest is thrilling while dominant Aries rules the emotional moon.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
It’s difficult to ignore that you want what you want when you want it. Why only allow yourself a small pleasure when you can have a large one! Relationships are put to the test and come through it stronger.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Immerse yourself in a project. Your ability to get down to the nitty-gritty ensures success. Professionals are wise to request payment at the time services are rendered – customers have eyes too big for their pocketbooks now.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
It’s an ambitious time for you. A social meeting with an influential person furthers your goal. When you offer your help, a whole new world opens. Earning potential is also expanded through education. Take a tutorial on your computer!

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
To prevent silly mishaps, take a break between tasks! If you can settle a dispute between relatives, you’re the hero. But realize that others change as a result of needing to change, not as a result of you telling them what to do.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
All eyes are on you. You try harder and make the grade because of that extra push. Listening to radical views will spark your creativity. An acquaintance returns your gesture of kindness. This could become a great friend!

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 22).
This will be a high-energy year! Travel in the next two months leads to romance. Developing a plan of healthy exercise and diet has you looking great; you turn heads through the summer. Profits come from a surprise business opportunity or settlement in September. Family matters are the big news in October. Your lucky love signs are Pisces and Gemini. Your lucky numbers are: 30, 1, 44, 39 and 18.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
It’s a drag to wait for rewards that will come "someday." Enjoy your life now! Though new love is probably shy and not likely to say what you want to hear, love is proven in action.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Celebrate your progress; when you do it, everyone else does, too. Joining forces with a creative mind pulls together a project that has been stagnating for months. You have luck with family visits and after-hours parties.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
There is so much passion behind your quest that it’s hard not to blow your top at anything that stands in your way. You say too much if you’re not careful. You’re not likely to feel the same about things tomorrow!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Forces are propelling you forward, so relax; unnecessary work just creates resistance. Things get heated tonight. Your arguments are compelling, but it’s not worth hurting the feelings of someone close.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Suspend your judgment – people can feel if you are sizing them up, and they’ll run the other way as a result. Business entertaining is a success. Zany ideas, though far-fetched, prove profitable.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Wealth is within grasp if you focus your energy in a single direction. New tactics will motivate you and help you motivate others, too. Teenagers become reasonable when you hold out a reward at the end of their hard work.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Change is your friend – new beginnings are fantastic for you. When you take care of yourself, the world wants to take care of you, too. That’s why a common-sense decision to be healthier brings love into your life.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I recently received my doctorate and am job-hunting at present. I have an unusual specialty, and my field is highly competitive. Is there a particular locale that is more fortunate for me? I was born March 9, 1961."

You are so secretive! But be assured, no matter how specialized your area of expertise may be, with your Libra ascendant, you’ll always find a place to work with others on a supportive team. New York state would be a fine place to make your career mark, or any of the Northeastern states, but you may never really feel at home there, even though you might find fame and fortune. Colorado, too, is very lucky for you. You’ll make plenty of money if you go to Washington, but you may have a less creative job. You will learn, grow and put down real roots if you go to New Mexico. Well-established companies with a strong background are your best bet, and universities will always be lucky for you. Though you will do much public speaking, you’ll always be happiest doing behind-scenes research (research is Piscean territory).

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Jamie-Lynn DiScala, otherwise known as Meadow Soprano on "The Sopranos," wed her manager last year. I predict she’ll follow her earth-sign instinct for real estate to buy up property with her husband this year. And did you know this Taurus can really sing? (Most Taurus people can, as Taurus rules the throat.) DiScala has appeared as Belle in the Disney Broadway musical "Beauty and the Beast."
