Under the cool Capricorn sun, it’s easier to be strategic in areas you would normally get emotionally involved with. Many analyze endlessly and actually are able to come up with logical solutions to problems of the heart. Some bravely step into situations they have no business getting involved with and overcome the odds.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Everyone knows you’ve got a big heart. It gets a workout today! Heart-pounding passion dazzles and intoxicates you. It feels like the first time! It’s hard to believe you’ve got to handle the normal day-to-day stuff now.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You’ve got it all organized, and you systematically attack the day. Others, not so much. But be tolerant. The world according to you works great for you, but a drastically different approach works for your partner.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Romance and its many complications are the fun of the day. If you want to get close to someone fast, reveal intimate things about yourself – but only if you sense that your date is willing to reciprocate.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Tolerance is key to happiness, especially when loved ones are so ditzy and you’re so together. Someone else’s carelessness may even require you to make an extra trip. Adjust your schedule, and help out any way you can.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Change is in the air. It’s everywhere, and quite frankly, you don’t like it. Time is on your side, so do all the thinking you need to in order to feel comfortable with emerging circumstances.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (January 2). Remarkable breakthroughs make this one of your best years to date. Use the extra emotional energy of this month to get in touch with previously covered-up feelings. Many want to date you. Be specific about what you are looking for because you’re sure to find it. June brings many new reasons to get your life in order. First things first is the motto. Your lucky numbers are: 23, 12, 30, 47 and 19.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The one you’re interested in will never know unless you make a noticeable effort. Be funny. Risk being embarrassed. Risk is a factor in forging instant attraction. A frugal friend can actually help you meet your savings goals.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You’re so attractive now that it seems everyone wants a part of you. Issues of commitment are on the table, and the negotiations are subtle but present nonetheless. There’s no rush! If you need more time to decide, take it.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Give up the quick-fix mentality. There’s no need to see things the black-and-white way – that is, either you got what you wanted today or were a total failure. Be willing instead to feel good about moving forward in small steps.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Challenge yourself to do things differently. Optimism is high; you can put a positive spin on just about anything now. At work, making a commitment changes things for the better. Romance becomes electrified.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Higher-ups are sniffing around you, deciding whether you’re the right one to move into a new position. Romantic tip: The war in your quest for dating success is not with "them." It’s in your mind.

COUPLE OF THE WEEKEND: Gemini and Sagittarius feel the romantic heat between them. Both have a strong social persona that is part of their draw to one another. And both have a tendency not to want to get emotionally attached too quickly. That’s why their dance of love is more delicious if it’s a long, drawn-out process. The more they savor getting to know one another, the more intimate they will feel later.
