Horoscope

September 30, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
The fall equinox is marked by the sun’s journey into the sign of partnership, Libra. This begins a cycle of community, harmony, and working and playing together. Music and art become more important in the next four weeks, as we look for new ways to please our aesthetic sense. Let tonight’s Virgo moon be a reminder that all things are possible.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Look for different aspects of your job where you can shine instead of trying to fill someone’s shoes. A friend’s big news shocks you. Be prepared to be included in his or her plans.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
The paradox: Going a little crazy helps you handle life. You can’t expect yourself to be 100 percent responsible all of the time. Do try to get some domestic paperwork out of the way. Your evenings get busier and busier.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
A fantastic idea strikes you. Even if your type of project has been done before, you’re in a prime position to offer a unique take on it. A Pisces likes the way you think. Brothers and sisters follow your lead.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Temptation strikes this afternoon. Whether it takes the form of a romantic encounter, a jelly doughnut or time out in the open air, you can’t keep your mind off your object of obsession. Take a mini-break, and indulge.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You’re working at breakneck speed today. It’s great to be so busy, but stress causes your immune system to slow down. Keep enough Vitamin C on hand while you’re trying to meet deadlines. You’re at your creative best tonight.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (September 30).
Though you may feel for a short while that you are going backward, this is a year for advancement. Job responsibilities increase in the next month and are key to raises. Family relationships improve with the benefit of perspective you get from travel. November’s passionate romance is likely with a Scorpio or Sagittarius. February brings a windfall. Your lucky numbers are: 2, 39, 19, 33 and 14.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Powers of persuasion are potent. Partners switch to your way of doing things. You come up with an idea for a new product or service that appeals to people across all ages and groups. Present it right away.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Your distinct star quality works wonders. People return your calls and invite you to important business meetings. Paperwork comes back with approved. This green light means your financial dreams are close to becoming a reality.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
A new social circle brings you into the fold. The group takes you in an exciting personal direction involving entertainment and performing. You feel accepted and appreciated. Share professional insights with younger associates.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
An admirer makes his or her affections known. The suitor reveals a tantalizing agenda to singles. Clear some time in your schedule for extracurricular activities together. Fun and profit merge together in beautiful harmony.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Energy is focused. Defy your own doubts – show the world how prolific you can be. The more you create, the calmer you become. A zen state of mind attracts money, too. Extra attention to legal matters is worth the trouble.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Trivial matters come up, but you problem-solve your way out of them. Pursue an avocation involving electronics and computers. Your brain cells thank you for the extra challenge.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Focus on your abilities rather than on how limited your resources may be. Influential sources reward you once you’ve shown what you can accomplish. Get set for a big sale once clients warm up to your charming personality.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"Do houses have a sign? Is this a good time for my husband and me to buy our first house, and if so, what sign would be compatible with a Leo (men) and a Taurus (him)?"

The first day you move your stuff into a house is the house’s birthday in relation to you. If you were moving next week, your house would be a Libra, which I think is a lovely sign for a house because Libra stands for harmony and beauty. This would be very compatible with a Leo and Taurus, adding new dimension to the partnership you and your husband have built. You’ll get along well with neighbors of a Libra property, and also the decorating will come together beautifully, though it will take a long time to decide on every aspect of the design. (The end result will be well informed at least and, of course, tasteful.) I’ll caution the two of you to get a spending plan together in regard to the cost of decorating and making the place homey before you move into your house. Taurus likes everything on the high end, right down to the copper plumbing. Leo doesn’t care about that so much as along as the outside of the place looks impressive.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Heather Locklear stars in the upcoming "Looney Tunes: Back in Action." Now married to Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi and formerly married to bad boy Tommy Lee, Locklear enjoys their wild sides while keeping her Libra self beautifully poised. The same thing goes for the roles she chooses. As Amanda on "Melrose Place," she defined what it means to be vicious, but in real life, Locklear is anything but that.
