Horoscope

August 28, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
It’s never enough under these skies. Big Daddy Jupiter conspires with Venus to get more of everything flowing. It’ s not about ambition so much as the fun we think excess can bring. There’s only so much you do to limit yourself before you justify your new passion with the idea that even moderation should only be taken in moderation.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Branch out – make bold calls. Fire and enthusiasm bring networking opportunities to you. Happiness in marriage should not be dependent upon how you feel about your financial conditions. Tackle problems systematically.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Look forward to a sensational day. There’s a special set of rules that applies to business you face before this afternoon. Don’t let the structure stress you out. Guidelines were intended to help you. Your best is enough.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Be patient with yourself, and allow adequate time for plans to be carried through. Someone charming has much to teach you and may open up new realms of possibility. The signs Libra and Aquarius are especially lucky.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Flow with changing responsibilities. Loved ones may argue due to misdirected energy. Everyone wants to improve – but only the wisest among us realize that the thing to improve is our own thought process.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so get out and try. Stop talking yourself out of projects. Your key to attainment is organization. Start networking; you improve every area of life by enlarging your circle of friends.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (August 28).
You’ve had it good, but this year is going to be great! Get ready to be blissfully shaken up even if you are poised to remain in your current state of affairs. A new Libra or Aries suitor has romance in store for you over the next two weeks. Negotiate long-term partnerships in September while the passion is still hot. You and a friend connect in October. Your lucky numbers are: 25, 15, 21, 12 and 28.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Being too self-sufficient may impede you from keeping resolutions and accomplishing goals as quickly as you would if you utilized the resources of loving people around you. There’s an up side to everything, and you’ll find it today.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Eccentric behaviors and interesting associations keep the cogs moving. Be tolerant of other people’s process. The less judgmental you are now, the faster you can reach your goal. Energy is high.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
There’s something to be said for low energy, too, so if you’re not in an up-and-at-’em mood, you’ll find ways to make that work for you. Take time to be quiet, centering yourself in your priorities.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
The unpredictable environment of this wacky day keeps you on your toes. Though there’s plenty to be distracted by, stay your course. A loved one asks you to compromise more than you had intended.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Self-examination in the morning makes the whole day go more smoothly. Even though your outer life hasn’t changed yet, you’re making real personal progress. Catch up on neglected home matters tonight.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Look for opportunities to earn extra income through part-time or overtime work. A Sagittarius provides a lucrative connection. Be polite – take the cell phone call later. A love connection could come from outrageous flirting.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Old ways die hard, but once you’ve kicked a habit, it’s gone. So make a big effort. Your feelings about a certain relationship have changed. Though it may never be the same again, the new version can be even better.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I need help moving on – or maybe what I need is help going back. I am a divorced Capricorn (born in 1954) who has reconnected with a widowed Libra (born in 1952), whom I dated 27 years ago. Even though we are separated by half a continent, how do I get him to know that I am willing to try again? Is there any hope for this relationship?"

I’m assuming you are not able to travel to visit him and see where it leads. It could be that deep down there’s some reason you’re not willing to move to his state or ask him to move to yours. This could have to do with your children. Passion finds a way of working those problems out, so if you’re really passionate, you’ll make this happen. I suspect, however, that you’re limiting yourself by excavating your past, most likely as a way of avoiding dating in your hometown. Don’t worry – with a little work, you’ll get in the swing of things and have fun being single. It’s not as bad as you’re making it in your head, and in fact, many people prefer it.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
A Leo, "Sex and the City’s" Kim Cattrall is the definition of "sex kitten." She has published books on the subject and been the center of controversy as the series’ wild and free sexual spirit. Leo women tend to be outgoing both in life and in the bedroom and have fewer judgments about what is taboo. After "Sex and the City," Cattrall could take her most controversial role – as a prudish woman.
