Horoscope

July 14, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
Cancer influences overhead make us more in tune to what’s going on around us. Everybody has got feelings, and it’s as easy to hurt them as it is to soothe them. Find a successful way to handle a family conflict this afternoon by using extra sensory powers. Having the perspective of distance helps. Take a break, and return to problems tonight.

ARIES
(March 21-April 19). Love is made sweeter by commitment. The better the opportunity, the more it requires lots of thought and planning. Make lists and outlines, and generally design a game plan for big endeavors you’re about to undertake.

TAURUS
(April 20-May 20). You’ll figure out how to stretch your time – a skill you will use repeatedly this week. Honesty factors in. The more you keep it "real," the less time you spend doing things you don’t want to be doing.

GEMINI
(May 21-June 21). Couples share work projects around the house very happily. You’ll feel the spirit of friendship, fun and flirtation this afternoon. Follow your inner voice tonight, even if it sounds a little strange.

CANCER
(June 22-July 22). Continuing to feel wonderful about your self-worth keeps you on the right financial track despite momentary self-doubts. Be a peacemaker on all fronts – children especially need mature supervision.

LEO
(July 23-Aug. 22). Someone you’ve admired may make flirtatious overtures. Your ability to handle in-laws or the family of your romantic partner will impress all concerned. The sharing of technical information is highlighted.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY
(July 14). In the abundant year ahead, loved ones and friends motivate you to go for it in a big way. Obstacles to overcome include your own sense of entitlement. Singles go on a romantic trip in September and wind up deeply in love. October is for educating yourself – you’ll make more money at work because of this. True love could be a Capricorn or Pisces. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 51, 9, 35 and 7.

VIRGO
(Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Forming closer bonds with loved ones now will lead to exciting developments in the weeks ahead. Celebrate friendship, perhaps by taking a trip! Use your talent today. You have teaching ability others will benefit from.

LIBRA
(Sept.23-Oct.23). Taking on more responsibility actually calms you down. You’d be perfect for that open position in your church or employee group. You’ll get the chance to extend your influence in rewarding ways. Pamper yourself tonight.

SCORPIO
(Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Let nothing interfere with family time. Something that used to hang you up is now easily surmountable. A mystery inspires you to be creative, clever and quick. Tonight, get some rest. The week ahead is demanding.

SAGITTARIUS
(Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Use your creative resourcefulness to be the host or hostess with the mostest. Parent groups need you, and you can make good friends while you make a difference. With so many love choices, you might play the field.

CAPRICORN
(Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Better communication improves life all around. Someone dear makes a big effort to please you, so make sure you’re appreciative. Hook up socially with like-minded friends – you’ll feel validated.

AQUARIUS
(Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You are lucky when you accept where you are now instead of wishing you were somewhere else. A calm attitude wins the battle better than an overly aggressive one this afternoon. Pull back your energy, and others come forward.

PISCES
(Feb. 19-March 20). Just because you’ve done things one way for so many years is no reason to continue doing so. Shop for art objects, or make your home more beautiful. Yoga or other stretching exercises could do wonders for your health.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
Home is the theme this week, with much going on astrologically in the realm of the crab. Of course, the crab carries his shell with him wherever he goes, but we’re not so lucky. There will be the never-ending dilemma of "Should I stay, or should I go?" and most decide to stay. There’s too much to do in our little corner of the world. Any improvements made now have a far-reaching effect. As long as things are good in the homestead, the whole world feels better. An aspect involving Venus and Saturn early in the week brings greater awareness of the challenges we face while trying to pursue love. Our greatest lessons could come from not getting what we want right away. If you’ve been pushing for something to happen and nothing is, consider it a blessing. There is a greater wisdom at work. Thursday, Venus and Mars make an agreement to put romance first, and things heat up to passionate levels Thursday through Sunday. We’re headed for the full moon on Sunday, which will pull out all the stops on a special relationship. Hold off on big decisions regarding love until after next weekend. Everything sounds like a good idea now, but soon, new events change our perception.

CELEBRITY PROFILES
: Courtney Love is a tricky individual, with her clever Gemini moon and Mars and Venus retrograde in Gemini as well. This produces a dual nature, so it’s no surprise that one minute love is charming, polished and articulate while the next she might act the impetuous punk-rock diva. Her Cancer sun says that these behaviorial changes are a direct result of getting her feelings hurt.
