Horoscope

July 8, 2003 (Tuesday)

- Joyce Jillson -
A lucky aspect involving Jupiter has an auspicious effect on your love life. Approach romance with the hopeful giddiness of a child and the wisdom of your years. The Leo moon’s energy brings a vibrant burst of excitement, just when you were getting a little tired of the same old, same old. Forgiveness is the key to inviting in this new energy.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. System and order will be hard to maintain in team efforts. Your superior troubleshooting ability will earn you a place in the team member hall of fame, however. If you get stuck, remember what everyone has in common.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Subtle gains come through subtle moves – outstanding gains through remarkable moves. The biggest thing standing between you and a fortune is a thought. Pay attention to what the little voice inside is saying.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
You are empowered to say goodbye to people who are a sorry influence on you. Do it quickly, and it’s painless. Something beautiful is right in front of you every day, but you no longer see it. Shake things up.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
What works in your career environment will work other places, too. Impulsive action is favored, even brilliant. Others are willing to help you succeed if you are truly excited about your plan.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Being speedy is how you make yourself invaluable at work. You’re the one with all the quick fixes, fast thinking and shortcuts to the gold. However, when the sun goes down, you’ll want to sit back and be catered to!

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 8).
You are raring to bring your detailed plans to fruition, and nothing is beyond your reach – as long as you stay focused on what’s truly important. Get rid of any emotional baggage now, or the extra psychic weight could leave you disillusioned with your progress by August. A new love teaches you to listen to your intuition. Your lucky numbers this year are: 4, 9, 11, 40 and 31.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Your schedule gets scrambled, so it’s useless to count on anything. Think of it as a venture into the unknown, and you’ll be surprised and delighted by the events that pepper your day. Sparkle, and be wild!

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Reorganize priorities; put love higher on the list. Phone calls and work complications could get in the way of your love life; be strong, and say "no" when you should. You electrify any social situation you choose to be a part of.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Your intuition is strong this morning. Use it to help you decide whether or not to go through with a deal. You’ll finally have a breakthrough on a financial goal. Love is another story. If you’re in the wrong, say it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Writing down an affirmation repeatedly will help restore your faith. Everyone accepts that you’ll do it your way, so don’t bother trying to conform. The most unlikely people come around to your way of thinking!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
When everybody is doing it, it seems like you have to, too. But you’ll save yourself some money by pausing to check out your own values before you join the crowd. You can still be accepted while doing your own thing.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Adventure can be found along the career path. Network, and put the word on the grapevine that you’re looking for fresh sources of income and personal growth. Duty is a priority, but it’s self-assigned.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Insist on getting paid what you are worth. Negotiations are concluded today for your greatest financial gain. You are given more authority at work due to this successful closure. Investments need some attention.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I was born June 27, 1973. I recently finished culinary school and am embarking on a work search in that area. This field offers various opportunities, and I would like some direction because it’s been hard for me to focus on just one. I have thought about pursuing food styling or writing cookbooks. Does my chart show any indication of the best choice for me?"

Cancers put great emotion into every decision they make. It’s been hard for you to find an answer because you’ve been looking to your heart instead of to your head. That’s not a bad place to look, but lately, your emotions have been so up and down that you’re not sure how to read your heart’s cryptic messages. Your skill definitely lies in presentation as opposed to critique (writing). You can aesthetically relate a variety of sensations and help others do the same through your work. Your moon lies in Taurus, which points toward the high end of life, so gourmet food will hold more of a career charge for you than everyday fare. Considering these elements, I’d say that food styling is the best choice. The variety and challenge of catering would also hold your interest.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Liv Tyler didn’t find out until the age of 12 that rocker Steven Tyler of Aerosmith was her father, but it’s clear who could play daddy to Liv’s baby this year. I predict that Liv and her husband, Royston Langdon, will give birth to a son this year. The young Langdon could follow in his granddaddy’s footsteps as an arena rocker, bringing the musician/actor-actor/musician family full circle.
