Horoscope/July 5, 2003 (Saturday)

-
The Cancer sun gets us in touch with strong emotions, and many people feel like a raw nerve. Running to the safety of someone’s arms is one solution but not a satisfying one. Gemini influences promise that the more social you are, the happier you will be. What starts out as light and friendly could turn into passion by nightfall.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Closed-minded friends could get you up in arms. It’s funny how you never noticed their offensive views before. There’s no need to battle your buddy, but resolve to be more open, and you’ll attract like minds.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Friends are your link to just about anything your heart desires today. A fresh start in love offers a new perspective on other areas of life. Seize romantic opportunities at a charity, sporting or church event.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Relax, and get rid of old baggage. When you give others a reason to smile, you can be sure your signature style is coming through. Tonight, perfect an exotic dish for friends. What starts innocently enough turns hot.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
You might be an adult, but your emotional self is young and vulnerable. Protect your feelings by getting out of an environment that doesn’t allow you to be treated the way you wish to be treated.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Working long and hard is not working effectively. More is not better. In fact, it is foolish to try and be productive when your resources are clearly depleted. Tonight, visual arts are favored – this fills your emotional well.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 5).
This year, you find peace within yourself. After an intense couple of months, you feel calmer this coming month than you ever have before. This allows you to kick off July with a huge success on the work front. By August, personnel changes have left some feeling fried, but you’re as cool as a cucumber. Best signs for love are Leo and Virgo. Your lucky numbers this year are: 36, 20, 25, 7 and 21.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
It’s risky to take on all you’d like to take on today. But without risk, you’re terribly bored. Loved ones want your time, and you have it to give. After all, everyone has time for what’s important.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
You’ll weave a good yarn and have the benefit of an audience that dangles on your every word. Exaggeration helps you make your point. Find out how others are solving the puzzles of life – why figure it all out by yourself?

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. You are carrying a heavy load and will feel relieved once you share the burden. Fix things in your home that haven’t been getting their proper attention. Creative inspiration is sparked tonight through a dreamy, romantic individual.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Make requests this morning when the stars bring fast results. Family members share financial blessings with you if you’re not too proud to accept! A friend needs support – don’t wait to be asked.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Step outside yourself. Do something random and spontaneous like ask the third person you see today to go to lunch with you. Raise the blinds, and open your windows. Airing out the house will have a multi-layered effect.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
A need for luxury has you whipping out your plastic, much to your partner’s dismay. Your strong-as-an-oak support keeps friends feeling like they can overcome any obstacle. Love sizzles if you put yourself in a romantic mood.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
It’s hard to see the best in some people. Irksome behavior doesn’t make a person bad. Forget about the negativity, and take your friend to a concert, baseball game or restaurant. He or she has missed you, too.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"My husband was born on Jan. 19, 1959. We’ve been married for four and a half years, and during these years, he has had close to six jobs lasting less than one year. It seems as though he attracts bad managers. As much as he tries, every single one of his bosses found something to fault him on so he would be let go. And in all of these companies, there was high turnover, so it can’t be said that losing those jobs was a result of personality conflicts. He wants job stability so much in his life. Can you foretell anything if this will finally be achieved in his current line of work?"

As a Capricorn with a Taurus moon, your man indeed has a core need for stability. He’s more suited to positions of leadership than he is working under anyone, however. I advise him to concentrate less on fitting in with a work situation and more on becoming an expert at what he loves to do. With Venus in Aquarius, he is creative enough to invent his own niche. More training might be necessary for him to learn what it takes to move into the leadership position. He would do very well as an independent contractor with someone to help him on the advertising end of things.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Kathy Bates did a nude scene in ‘About Schmidt" that got some mention, and in her next film, she’ll embark on an even more publicity-producing risk. Cancer actors usually won’t say yes to a part unless they totally feel and relate to the character, but then again, Cancer people are so emotionally in touch that they can sympathize with even the strangest and most unlikable people.
