Horoscope

February 09, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
The moon in its first quarter traipses out of Taurus, leaving us with an appetite for the best life has to offer. The senses demand attention, which could get expensive. Showing a little restraint only happens when people are around to see. The Aquarius sun promises a willing team is there for anyone who’s serious about assembling one.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Stamina is high. You’ll be turning heads as a result of a fitness kick. Your expectations of others could be unreasonable. When you are stuck at the crossroads, just remember not to expect more than you are willing to give.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Your spirit of sharing will begin a positive cycle. Cultivate friendships with people who are accepting. Financial constraints are not really limiting; use your imagination. An old flame wants to be friends.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
You are in control of a love relationship, though it might not feel that way now. Consider a change of residence – a better environment promotes domestic harmony. Kids’ behavior improves when you set a good example.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
The release of pen-up feelings and the exposure of secrets are featured. Dazzle the world with your ingenuity. Good things come to those who believe they are worthy. Before you commit, calculate the expenses to be incurred.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Expand your focus to include more than what you normally would notice. This will drastically alter your perception of negative events and better inform you about positive and neutral happenings. You are not what happens to you.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (February 09).
There is a passionate year ahead. Don’t be afraid to make commitments – you intuitively choose what’s fabulous for your life. Even seemingly meaningless choices lead to coincidence that helps you along your path. This month, turn your savings into a successful business. You find hot love with a younger person, probably a Leo or Aries. Your lucky numbers this year are: 14, 25, 39, 50 and 21.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
There is no time to waste today. (Of course, reading and relaxing aren’t wasteful at all.) Look for love where loving people will gravitate. Some people just don’t have what you need, so move on quickly.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Family events go exceedingly well, especially if you stand up for yourself from the beginning. Remember: You teach people how to treat you. A new acquaintance met through friends could become a valuable, trusted companion.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
You’re the recipient of lovely attention. Pull your shoulders back, and give them a dose of who you really are. Get aggressive about learning tonight. You provide an anchor for others who need encouragement.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
You are inspired by the prospect of love and will be doubly productive. Overindulgence is a detriment to your energy levels, so monitor yourself. Ask for as much help and care as you usually give to others.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Place attention on what is happening now. New clarity helps you develop an action plan. Loved ones can talk it all over now. Emphasis on family traditions is strong now. Worship, dine or watch TV together.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Your social life starts buzzing when you decide not to worry about what others think. Arguments over ethics arise, which of course you win, if getting your point across is winning. Introduce friends who can benefit from each other.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Pushing projects to the back burner is necessary to dedicate quality time to the ones you love. Bond with a family member by choosing to look at the past in a new way. Your psychic ability is heightened tonight.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
Tight-knit groups can be intriguing, annoying and intimidating to those who don’t happen to be a part of them. But the golden opportunity in the events that unfold this week has to do with outsiders making their way in and insiders being a little more open to newcomers. If there’s an exclusive club or clique that seem to be in the know, don’t wait for an invitation to join (although after the 12th, many invites will be extended). Instead, learn all you can about these groups and align yourself with the most accessible individual of the circle. The luckiest time to make a move is the 15th or 16th. The sun continues through intellectual Aquarius, lending good vibes to students, teachers, inventors and anyone pursuing progress through learning. Monday and Tuesday are the most fun, while Friday is the most intense. Valentine’s Day amplifies the effect of Venue on Capricorn, delivering a record number of engagement rings. The institution of marriage seems a fine idea while traditional Capricorn governs the love planet. The week ends with the moon in Leo. Sure, there will be some exaggeration and outright lies told, but it’s all in the name of entertainment.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Spinal Tap’s Christopher Guest could make headlines this year by challenging another rock act to a musical duel on a hot nighttime variety show. Guest is an Aquarian actor, writer, filmmaker sand comic innovator. Aquarius loves to create fantasies in such vivid detail the lines of fantasy and reality are often blurred. That’s why there are still so many loyal fans of Spinal Tap, a totally made-up rock band.
