The first stage of the moon in Capricorn brings a new start, pushing us into an ambitious mood. It’s not so much about getting what you want but being who you want to be. The luckiest move is to call someone you admire and soak up the mannerisms and habits of this person. Mentor/student relationships have much to teach both parties.

WEEKEND LOVE REPORT: There’s no question improvement to the old love life is on the list of things to do in 2003. But somehow, it seems to get mixed in with – and overshadowed by – other ambitions. It almost feels as though if we can fit in just a little bit of romantic satisfaction over the next months, we’ll be doing fine. Don’t let this wave of ambition wipe you out, as the perspective it’s giving you is false. If you want respect, affection and intimacy, you have to put your time and energy into it, just as you would for anything else you want in your life. Air signs (Gemini, Aquarius and Libra) who usually demand that romantic a partners think on their level will finally be open-minded to less than witty loves who have more going on in other categories. Watch your heart around earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo), or they’re bound to take off with it. Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) feel exhausted by the week’s events and will love a partner who just wants to relax. The most likely to commit to long-term love this weekend are water signs (Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer).

COUPLE OF THE WEEKEND: Few are as charming as Libra, and Sagittarius can truly appreciate the balanced worldly appeal of this magnetic sign. Libra loves Sagittarius’ decisiveness. The Sagittarian doesn’t wonder what everyone else is doing or hesitate to consider the financial or practical implications – the archer just moves forward. If Libra hangs on tight, the adventure of this weekend may even include marriage!
