Horoscope

December 10, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
If you’ve lacked enthusiasm about the impending holiday, that starts to change as you find out more about other people’s Thanksgiving plans. Anticipation can be the most delicious aspect of this time of year. Butterflies in your stomach might be telling you what kind of feelings you have for someone you’ll be seeing at the Thanksgiving table.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Clear your mind with busy work – you’ll be more creative the rest of the day as a result. Don’t let pride keep you from someone’s generosity. You’ll make a lasting impression tonight.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Take notes. What doesn’t make sense now will be important later. A friend uses you as a role model. Don’t be competitive; instead emphasize teamwork. Rejuvenate a love affair with a change of scenery.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
No one understands what you need unless you spell it out. Consult family members about an investment, or you’ll have explaining to do later. Creative work requires a partner, if for not other reason than simple accountability.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. Money you thought was long gone turns up. A loved one confides a special wish or secret pleasure. Tonight, calculate the financial implications of a change in tax or insurance status.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
As the workload becomes more demanding, you might feel that your job is asking more than you have to give. Try not to burn your bridges. Someone wishes to make amends and set a relationship back on track.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (December 10).
Act on your winning impulses in the next four weeks, and you’ll keep reaping the rewards all year. Your social status sails over the holiday season – make sure to devote time to your own goals, too. Married couples find renewed passion on a short trip now or in January. Singles fall in love in February. Lucky love signs are Virgo and Cancer. Your lucky numbers are: 2, 50, 6, 13 and 43.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Unexpected financial responsibilities surface, so make sure there is enough in the bank. Stay on the practical, conservative side, and plan out a long-term strategy. You’re attracted to the colleague with whom you always disagree.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Prove on your worth, not to love ones but to yourself. Family members support you more than they let on, so fishing for compliments is unnecessary. Raise your esteem by saying "no" to someone who’s made you feel stuck.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Tired of putting up with shabby treatment from superiors? You’ll do better where you have more control over your job. Make steps to get your new situation set up. Singles have fantastic luck with first-time dates.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
You are on the rise, and you’ve worked for it. Newly won self-confidence has a lot to do with your relationship success. The more solid you feel about someone who loves you back, the better you feel about the future.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Keep your brain in shape. When you are on your toes, love and money fall at your feet. If you have a little trouble attracting employers or clients, it could be because you are hiding your best asset.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Highlight what makes you feel great, and the rest is overshadowed by your determination. A new love enters your life via an old love or an old friend. How you get connections is less important than what you do with them.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Get organized, update your skills, and work out any distracting hassles at home. An infatuation lights your fire. You’d be smart to take advantage of training and retraining programs offered at company expense.

RUSH TO CHECK OFF LAST YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS (PART TWO OF FIVE):
Soon, you’ll be counting the minutes to the new year. There’s no need for regrets as you approach 2003, so if there’s a resolution you didn’t quite make in 2002, here’s how you can motivate yourself to accomplish it in the next month or let it go. GEMINI: If there’s one thing you’ve learned about achieving goals this year, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Narrow it down to one thing you can do to complete the year in a powerful way. Then, get on the horn (the phone), and tell everyone. More than one friend will come through. CANCER: For you, it’s less about what you’ve done and more about how you feel about what you’ve done. The best thing for you to do is to sit down with yourself and have a nice powwow about how you can look at the last year as a win – or at least a lesson. LEO: Your looming resolution is too much to accomplish in a month, but don’t let yourself off the hook. You can still break it down into sizeable chunks and get some momentum toward it. Honesty is the key.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
When Debbie Matenopoulos, 20-something host of "The View," wasn’t afraid to say whatever popped into her head, producers got a little more conflict than they needed, and Matenopoulos was let go. This sassy Sagittarius should develop a travel show aimed at a young audience. Her in-the-moment observations will be fabulous entertainment and inform her audience about other cultures as well.
