Horoscope

September 22, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
The sun transits into Libra, the sign of partnership. This lovely transit is like a breath of light, fresh air. If you suddenly see the world through beautiful glasses, and this inspires you to call someone out of the blue, and that leads you to meet for lunch, and that brings you inexplicably to the altar, well, blame it on the Libra sun.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Financial ups and downs give you the jitters, but don’t push the panic button. When you feel a little better about your appearance, you also start flirting, which helps you loosen up and invite good luck in love.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Welcome adversity, as it cannot be avoided. Self-discipline is crucial to financial success, but having a little of what you want won’t hurt. If it causes more stress to resist than damage to give in, just give in.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Tap into your tremendous capacity for learning; be a sponge around ultra-intelligent people. Don’t sway from your budget because someone gives you a sob story. Singles meet prospects while patronizing charities or the arts.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. If there are loose ends to tie, this morning is the chance you’ve been waiting for. Leave no stone unturned in a search for employment. New babies or fantastic joint projects come to couples.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
There is a spark of romantic interest – you’re not imagining things. Have faith. Whatever is happening now is part of the bigger plan. It is impossible for anyone to correctly value your ideas if you don’t do it first.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (September 22).
The world responds to your talents, big and small. Singles find love in October. Classes and short trips are where important connections are made. A big purchase in January is a symbol of your hard work. Family members show their approval in March. Your lucky numbers are: 13, 24, 50, 21 and 8.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Move instinctually toward the people who will facilitate your greater good. Follow through with important work, without regard to the money involved. In the end, the dollar amount doesn’t matter.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Fragmenting your time between too many interests causes low production and high stress. Focus. Let people know what you expect of them, and they won’t disappoint you. Retired couples buy their dream home.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
You could tune in but then make a conscious decision to stay out. Sweethearts know one another’s needs without saying much. No one wants to feel manipulated now, so be subtle in your requests.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Dissatisfaction prompts change and growth, so be thankful for it! You take the initiative, which is why you’ll be the big moneymaker. Children may be unreasonable, but when they do listen, give a fair dose of reality.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
You can’t force others to see your point of view, so back off when you meet resistance. Later, you can take another approach. Domestic problems are easily solved if you take more responsibility for your part.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
There is no room for criticism in a love relationship. New associations are energizing, so join groups. Money can be made by providing others with the opportunity to buy on impulse. An Aries could be your best customer.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Keep lines of communication open by listening more than you speak. Original thinking is the key to solving problems. Discard worn-out methods. Romance is thrilling with someone you’ve known forever or with someone new.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
Such a lot of fun and antics are in store this week that you’ll do well to write some of it down at the end of it next Sunday. Otherwise, you’ll look back and wonder, "Did that really happen?" Honestly, you can’t plan these kinds of things. Partially to blame is Mercury in retrograde, which promises to turn life into a game of telephone. By the time the last person in the circle gets the whispered news, it’s garbled beyond belief and usually to comic effect. The other culprit is the Libran sun, spreading an air of levity. Since people are generally getting along a little better, it’s easy to lighten up and have a few laughs. And the task is easier still after Tuesday and Wednesday reveal some pretty decent progress at work. With phone calls returned, bills paid and major tasks crossed off the to-do-list, Friday is nothing but fun. The Gemini moon starts the games and the chatting – and maybe even the kissing and the hugging. Saturday night brings the weekend to a serious close with the nurturing moon in Cancer to sing us to sleep with a lunar lullaby.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Morning talk-show personality Kelly Ripa is a Libra mom who loves to share information and anecdotes with her national audience. Libra is the sign of sharing, openness and friendship. Sometimes, what’s too much information for other signs is absolutely crucial to share for Libra, which makes for some funny television in Ripa’s case. Luckily, when it comes to sharing the spotlight, Libra is a pro.
