Horoscope

May 18, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
The Taurus moon and Gemini sun keep the overall energy high. You’ll want to do most of your weekend activities with friends, but don’t lose track of what you’re gaining personally from sharing the experience. Having others around keeps you on your best behavior and allows you to accomplish more out of a sense of fun and/or competition.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Independence is sexy, especially in you. You’re strong and can take care of yourself. Your finances will improve as a result. Of course, just when you have it all together, love steps in to confuse and bewilder you. Hang in there.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
. A family problem stems from a generation gap – you are in a position to mend the rift and make everything better. A transportation delay may benefit you, so don’t stress over it. Read about world politics – you’ll need the info later.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
. Fulfill your desires; you just need a little extra patience to get you through your day. Performances will go extremely well this evening. Confront a friend regarding his or her destructive behavior; you’ll be appreciated in the end.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Self-fulfillment has to do with knowing your limits. Your concerns over money will soon be lifted. If you focus on financial freedom, it will be yours. An ex-mate has been haunting your mind. Mental healing comes from meeting new people.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
. Holding a grudge never helped anyone. Let go and be free. A distant relative seeks advice, and you’re just the person he or she is looking for. Give a home improvement project a go, and stop dragging your heels. Please yourself.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 18)
. Stick with your brilliant plan (though there will be a few minor adjustments next month), and you’ll have an exciting windfall in June. However, that doesn’t mean spending all your energy on work. Time investments with friends and family will pay off a million times over, so don’t bury yourself in paperwork, especially through June and July. Your lucky numbers are: 13, 24, 39, 47 and 40.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
. The love of your life will ask for special time together, so go ahead – other things can wait. No matter what kind of opinions family members have, they will change over time. Examine your friendships – your values are changing.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23)
. Friction arises when you are not honest. Confrontation is not your thing, but this time, you must stand up for yourself. Don’t test children, because they will rebel. Self-discipline is great; begin a diet or exercise program for fantastic results.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Nurture creativity by getting out in the world – alone. You’ll need to access your well of talent in a work situation next week that may rely on your ability to come up with ideas quickly. Split-second decision-making is your best skill.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Working ahead ensures you extra cash and some free time in the future. Be flexible when collaborating with colleagues. If your mate is taking his or her anxieties out on you, try to be sympathetic. You’ll earn brownie points.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ’em – literally. It’s time to figure out what you’re up against by walking a mile in someone else’s shoes. It will be enlightening, and it may also give you the edge you need to make things go your way.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
. You’re allowed to change the game; after all, it’s your game. A common point of view you share with a certain Libra or Capricorn could land you a fulfilling job. Tonight will bring the thrill of meeting someone you’ve only heard about.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Team effort is where your heart is, especially if your team includes family members. Face rivalries together, and your competitor will seem smaller than you thought. Agreements should be kept, no matter how inconvenient they may be.

SUMMERTIME OF 2002 FOR VIRGO:
Deliberate action is what’s needed in your love life. Once you state what or whom you want, the world will open up with ways of getting it. Be steadfast with your standards. Settlings for less will be dangerous in the early spring. Be frank about what you’re looking for in a relationship, and stick to it. The most unlikely souls will bend over backward for you when they realize they can’t live without you. Hot spots for romance are church, exercise groups and singles activity clubs that focus on the outdoors or sports. Capricorn and Taurus singles are just what the doctor ordered. There’s very little reformation involved in making this love work. However, you could fell compelled to change a well-intended Aries and may even have some success. Another Virgo is boring but true, nonetheless. A Scorpio needs you more than you need him or her. Cancer and Sagittarius want different things than you, so it’s hard to find time to enjoy what these signs have to offer. Leo makes every day exciting. Libra could ask for marriage. Gemini is a passionate challenge, while Pisces wants you to be the challenge. You’ll enjoy Aquarius’ company.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Aquarian athlete Michael Jordan was born under the powerful action-oriented moon in Aries – talk about a competitive edge! As one of the greatest athletes of our time, his grace and agility are the epitome of his air-sign nature. Children are featured prominently in his chart now, and h is work as a role model and dad will be the most important work he’ll ever do all year long. He’ll keep on going for years to come.
