Horoscope

May 13, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
With Venus entering Taurus, many folks are finding out just how strongly they feel about close and personal relationships they’ve taken for granted. It’s the perfect time to set your priorities straight, because they’ll be easier to follow now. Under the lighthearted Aquarius moon, you’ll feel as if you’re playing a game today, so try not to be so competitive.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Include older family members in your plans for fun. New job possibilities will pop up next week. Your charm is working overtime; enjoy a day of rest before tackling a busy week. Giving is the answer. Teamwork does the trick.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
. A friend needs another chance. Driving across town just to get a better deal may not be worth it. Volunteering for tasks at your club or place of worship may bring you into line for special recognition. Prepare to be in the spotlight.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
. Follow up on a hunch, because it may lead you to a greater understanding of your current situation. Your relatives may call upon you to mediate in a minor dispute. Be careful what you say, or you could add fuel to the fire.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Conflicting personalities at the office might drive you crazy if you let them. Irrational behavior may be rooted in a medical problem, so visit your doctor as soon as possible. Unless someone asks you to help him or her, steer clear.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
. There’s no time to rest on your laurels; move on to the next project while you’re riding high. If you can keep your wits about you, you’ll come out smelling like a rose. A renewed love relationship sizzles with passion; enjoy it while it lasts.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 13)
. You’ve got your finger on this year’s pulse and can come up with some savvy fixes for last year’s toughest problems by the end of July. In the next three weeks, singles will meet romantic hopefuls in a group of students or co-workers. Watch who you trust in June. July will be a moneymaking month if you promise to stay positive through the thick and thin. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 22, 19, 34 and 29.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
. You’ll experience drama in the morning. Expect others to show their true colors, not just the ones they usually wear. Some of the shades will be surprising, even ugly, but keep reminding yourself that we all have a dark side – even you!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23)
. Your commitment to honesty will be rewarded and definitely stir your ambitions. Make an affirmation to create a bright future for yourself. Don’t underestimate what life can really bring – have faith in what destiny has in store for you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Modesty is inappropriate when you want to convince someone you’re qualified for a job. Your love relationship requires respect. Apply for a grant or position this afternoon – you’re lucky. Follow the golden rule, and be positive.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Your romantic partner has some interesting information. Let a relative assist you with planning a social event, even though you can do it on your own. Asking for help promotes family unity. Allow yourself to be influenced.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
. If you have the sneaking suspicion that you can do better, you are right. Get out of a romantic tangle. Cut unhealthy foods from your life. While you’re at it, cut ties to toxic people, as well. You could be allergic to them.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
. Allow yourself to be intrigued by others, and in turn they will find you intriguing. A change of pace in the office may stimulate your creativity. Make a financial contribution to a worthy cause for even more luck. You’ll feel good about yourself.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
. Financial experts are not right all the time, so use additional sources. A potential sweetheart doesn’t care how much money you make. Emotional appeals are more effective than cold, hard facts. Get into a healthier routine.

SUMMERTIME OF 2002 FOR ARIES:
As far as visualizing yourself in a better romantic position, it’s not for you. You’ll believe it when you’re there, and it’s easier for you to take action than to spend time dreaming. Take a moment to consider the ramifications of pairing up with a person before you actually do it. Ask yourself what could happen. This may seem simple enough, but when was the last time you thought about that before kissing a cutie? The reason I bring it up is because you won’t have much trouble snagging the person you want. Unless the person you desire is the person who’s good for you, you’ll have trouble from the start. Of course, you know Sagittarius and Leo can keep up with you when it comes to excitement. Aquarius is a challenge in other ways, and you might like the intellectual aspect this sign brings to your life. Taurus and Virgo may nag you and say it’s all for your own good, which it is, but you hate that. Cancer or fellow Aries make life and love quite wild, but not as wild as Scorpio could make it. Pisces would make a better friend than love partner, and Capricorn is a better business partner than friend. Gemini is your perfect match, and Libra is the most likely to propose to you. You may now pick whom you’d like to be with.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Puka shells are back, and a signed poster of Farrah Fawcett in mint condition can be purchased for a hefty fee on eBay. This original Charlie’s Angel has her sun in Aquarius and moon, Mercury and Venus in the sign of whim, popularity and the future. Aquarians march to a different drummer and get a lot of attention. This would perhaps explain her long relationship with Ryan O’Neal without the convention of marriage.
