Horoscope

March 31, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
With Venus headed through Taurus’ territory, being in love feels more like a homecoming than a scary adventure. Mom and Pop’s old-fashioned values hold plenty of appeal. For those courting someone new, stick to 1950s traditions, like going to the movies or sharing an ice cream sundae. The more uncomplicated things are, the nicer they feel.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
Easter brings the transit of Venus, the love planet, into Taurus. It’s a sensual aspect that makes us extraordinarily aware (and susceptible) to the joys of spring. Beautiful scents, sights, colors and hormonal changes that happen in every creature at this time of year abound. It’s clear that spring and love go hand-in-hand. Our concept of money and how it relates to the romantic picture doesn’t fit so well into the spring picture. The mistaken belief that we have to make plenty of it to keep those who love us happy is not only foolish but superficial. Taurus is an appetite-driven station for Venus, and sometimes, it loses its grasp of logic. In truth, the simple things, like a walk in the park, are better than anything that can be bought. The Sagittarius moon on April Fool’s Day makes it especially fun to go out of your way to play a prank (as long as it’s meant to make someone laugh). Passover will end under the Capricorn moon Wednesday. Look around you, and see how your ambitions fit into the big picture. Helping someone powerful will in turn have a strong effect on you. He or she will help you further your career goals.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Emmylou Harris is a nine-time Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter who keeps expanding her fan base every year. One of Aries’ best qualities is their youthful attitude, which is partially spurred by an unending supply of ambition. Aries natives tend to retire much later than other signs. It’s not uncommon for them to never retire at all. They have an ageless quality that keeps their work fresh to all generations.
