Horoscope

January 05, 2001

- Joyce Jillson -
With so much Capricorn interest in the sky, there is much emotion around the roles we play in life and who is appointed to what part. Be kind, and appreciate everyone’s contribution. Don’t step on anyone’s toes while you climb the ladder of success. The moon in Libra pulls your focus toward social causes and partnership. Be gracious to others.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. If there are too many interruptions at home, look for a quiet spot elsewhere, perhaps the library. What you do in private should be your business and nobody else’s. Start writing in a diary or journal now, and stick to it.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
. Your mind contains a wealth of ideas, but they may be somewhat scattered because of your routine distractions. More travel is in store – it will benefit your income. If you’re in the dark about a certain matter, consult a trusted colleague.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
. Office bureaucracy will get on your nerves. You’ll be swamped with work this afternoon. Sort your assignments by order of priority, you’ll accomplish more than ever. When you take a chance on yourself, others will be impressed.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Be prepared for anything – sudden purchases might be necessary. Your steady financial status is due to your savvy business head. Romance could easily spark at a community event. Children need your attention.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
. You’ll have brilliant success in love, especially with a Gemini or Pisces. You’ll be more ambitious by the end of the day. Take advantage of your mate’s willingness to let you run the show. Travel to a new land. Meet all monetary deadlines.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (January 5)
. It’s a year when you make money hand over fist. If you can pique the interest of a sexy Scorpio with a work project, you’ll find out the secret shortcuts to fame and money. You’ll spend the spring with close loved ones, but in June, fabulous strangers will explode onto the scene. New sources of wealth or creativity may influence your choices. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 22, 1, 45 and 34.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
. Get acquainted with someone you may have been too shy to approach before. This "stranger" may turn out to be more than just a friend. You don’t have to pair off with anyone to enjoy adventurous vibes tonight. Live it up!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23)
. Even if you know where your opponent is coming from, you’ll still use the same tactics. Knowing his or her motive will keep you from falling into the same trap! Sleuth your way to finding the answers to your questions.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. The payoff of an educational investment will be tremendous. The key to financial health is not to get into debt. Business partners make convincing pitches. What you perceive as a restriction is actually a blessing.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Keep a lunch date, though you are tempted to cancel. An energetic friend will help you make a fabulous decision. Your creative work will bring in money. Be diplomatic when intervening between feuding relatives.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
. Students will perform beautifully. A close friend has flaws, but there is merit in this relationship. A Leo could introduce you to a potential love partner. You can manipulate situations to your favor, but don’t let it get to that point.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
. Subtle hints aren’t effective; you have to be more obvious. Time will help you recover from a big loss. Reading will improve your confidence and self-esteem. A former mate has difficulty maintaining a friendship with you.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Do not accept big favors from someone you don’t know well. Savor the moment you have in the spotlight, and then be prepared to play second fiddle when necessary. A love interest is extremely receptive to your advances.

ASTROLOGICAL FEATURE: STAR SUPPORTERS OF 2002 (PART TWO OF SIX):
Who will help you get what you’re looking for in the new year: Gemini: Bringing home the bacon, so to speak, will be your specialty this year. It’s nice to know you have the help of others to pay for your living expenses. Being able to depend on an Aquarius or Libra will help you get ahead of the game. Because two heads are better than one, you’ll feel as if you finally have some financial freedom. Giving back to a Sagittarius will get you even more help. Cancer: Your whimsical ways are what attract artistic and creative partners to you. Those who see problems in a different way than you are priceless, they’ll propel you toward your goals at lightning speed. Leos and Virgos are especially astute when it comes to finding shortcuts to your destination. Check in with an earth sign through the first three months of the year (Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo), when you’ll need a grounded person to keep you focused on being productive. A Pisces or Scorpio love interest might distract you temporarily in March, but the enjoyment you get out of it is worth the delay.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
David Grohl is one of the best rock drummers of modern music. The Foo Fighters member could make a stunning movie appearance this year, opening up a whole new dimension in his career. Grohl is a cool Capricorn who enjoys the nonstop energy the adventurous Sagittarius moon provides. This is an excellent aspect for rockers because it makes traveling less of an effort. The Sagittarius moon makes him so curious about the world, traveling will always be a pleasure for his fun-seeking soul.
