Horoscope

March 31, 2001

- Joyce Jillson -
The dark side of the moon cycle, which appears tonight, is paving the way for a global shift to improve our lives in several different areas at once. The lunar shift into cool Pisces provides a much-needed grounding as the complex aspects play with our sense of priority. The Aries sun will help us organize our thoughts and map out a cohesive plan.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. If you visualize the finished product, the creative process will go smoothly. Separate your emotions from a financial issue. Make use of a support group; pertinent information will save you time. A love interest returns your admiration.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
. You’re determined to be free. You can expect more fun than usual. Artists will receive commissions, inventors will make sales and writers will get assignments. Tonight, meet new people while you help your community in some way.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
. Now is the time to make a bid for freedom, self-employment, self-determination or a move to a new town. What is obvious to you must be explained to your romantic partner. Traveling with the one you love is exciting.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. A minor change in your appearance will make you absolutely irresistible to a romantic interest. Set aside time to spend with your mate, or you’ll never get around to it. Neighborhood projects will need your leadership.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
. You’ll win praise when you handle procrastinated schoolwork, letters or payments. Try a partner’s ideas before assuming that they won’t work. A selfless gesture won’t go unnoticed. Earn extra money from a side job or a garage sale.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (March 31)
. You’re starting on a clean slate! You’ll get a career boost in December. Get your personal life in excellent working condition this month, and you’ll ask for what you want in April and get it. An even better offer will come in June. Being prepared is the secret in July. Romance in August may lead to marriage in October. Your lucky love signs are Scorpio and Taurus. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 27, 37, 31 and 41.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
. Special projects will help you get your life in order. Experimenting will lead to success, but there is still room for improvement. Added responsibility reflects someone’s confidence in you. New places excite your mind.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23)
. If you’re looking for a good investment, your own health and mental well-being are the keys to success. What looks like an intimidating social arena is actually a place of acceptance and support. Make a donation to a local charity.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Someone you never trusted is actually going to prove you wrong. Shopping, bartering and negotiating will pay for dividends. A younger person aspires to be just like you. Your romantic wish will be granted tonight. Look your best.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Focus on quality control and maintenance. Avoid making oversights, as well. You’ll receive a stamp of approval, but it’s meaningless unless you approve of yourself, too. Give others the benefit of the doubt – we all aren’t devils.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
. Your mind is razor-sharp, and your eye for detail is keen. It’s a good time to finish domestic projects, especially homey crafts. You’ll find love through something you build, draw or write. For extra luck, contact an old friend.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
. What is too good to be true makes you nervous. Protect yourself, then stop worrying. Besides, problems to the fore will present unforeseen opportunities. If you see something you like, reach out and grab it. It may only come once.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
. Just because you’re qualified to do certain work doesn’t meant it makes the best use of your talent. Make an effort to do more of what makes you shine. Dates are better when you invite friends along – they add to your intrigue.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I’m the mother of a Pisces who has Attention Deficit Disorder. Should I put him on the medication the school psychiatrist suggested?"

Pisces children are fanciful and imaginative. Many times your child may appear lost in daydreams, but is actually concentrating astutely on his fantasy, or is in the process of gathering information and impressions through a soaking-up of the atmosphere. Try to engage your Pisces son in the learning process by initiating regular conversations about what he has been learning in school. But more importantly, ask him what he is interested in, it may be a subject that isn’t addressed in school, and if it is, paying for lessons or helping him learn more about that subject will in turn tune him into the learning process, which will spill over into school. Above all, don’t be bullied into medicating your child before all other options have been tried. If he is not violent or disruptive of other students, there is no cause for alarm. All children assimilate information a little bit differently, and being an interested and active party to your child’s learning process will do more than any medication would.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Composer and stage impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber has carved out a special niche for himself in the musical world of theater. His novel use of old themes (thanks to Pisces’ artistry coupled with Aries’ innovation) and modern drama is an example of the Aries ability to blend style. With Jupiter now in Gemini, he may explore the world of rock ‘n’ roll, blending pop music with an operative score and libretto.
