At 2 p.m. yesterday, a low pressure area was estimated at 110 kms east of Zamboanga City, embedded along an intertropical convergence zone affecting Mindanao and Palawan. The tail-end of a cold front affects extreme northern Luzon.

Extreme northern Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains. While southern Visayas and Palawan will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over northern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast and east with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.

Temperature forecasts: Metro Manila, 22-31 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 16-24; Tagaytay City, 19-28; Subic and Clark zone, 24-32; Metro Cebu, 25-30; Metro Davao, 23-28; and Cagayan de Oro, 22-28.

Tidal predictions in Manila Bay: high tide at 9:37 a.m. at 0.39 meter; low tide at 3:32 a.m. at 0.05 meter, and at 12:56 p.m. at 0.32 meter. Sunrise is at 6:02 a.m.; sunset at 5:24 p.m.
