At 2 p.m. today, tropical depression “Ambo” was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 100 kms west of Dumaguete City with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center. It is moving west at 15 kph.
Southern Negros, Southern Iloilo, Southern Antique, Guimaras Island, Palawan and Cuyo Island will experience rains and gusty winds and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Southern Luzon, rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east and southeast will prevail over Luzon and the rest of Visayas and coming from the southwest and southeast over the rest of the country.
