As of 2 p.m. yesterday, typhoon "Seniang" was estimated based on radar, satellite and surface data in the vicinity of Guian, Eastern Samar or at 50 kilometers east of Tacloban City with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move west-northwest at 22 kph.
The whole of Visayas, including Siargao island, will have stormy weather with rough to very rough seas while the Bicol region and northern Mindanao will experience rains and gusty winds.
Public Storm Warning Signal No. 3 was hoisted over Masbate, Romblon, Samar, Southern Leyte, Biliran Island, Northern Cebu, Northern Negros, Northern Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan and Dinagat Island, which would have winds of 101-185 kph.
