At 2 p.m. yesterday, the tropical depression over the Caroline Islands was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,050 kilometers east of Southern Leyte, with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour. It is forecast to move west at 19 kph.
Meanwhile, an intertropical convergence zone is affecting Visayas and Mindanao. The areas will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas and the coastal areas here will be moderate to rough.
