Tropical storm "Milenyo" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 180 kilometers east northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar at 4 p.m. yesterday, with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of 100 kph.

"Milenyo" is expected to be at 150 kilometers east northeast of Catarman, Northern Samar or 170 kms southeast of Virac, Catanduanes this afternoon. By tomorrow afternoon, it will be at 30 kms north northeast of Virac and by Friday afternoon, it will be at 240 kms northwest of Virac or 100 kms east southeast of Baler, Aurora.

Public storm warning signal no. 1 was hoisted over Albay (including Burias Island) Camarines provinces, Masbate (including Ticao Island), Leyte (including Biliran and Camotes Islands) and Dinagat and Siargao Islands.

Signal no. 2 is in effect in Catanduanes and Sorsogon and in the Samar provinces.
