Tropical storm "Florita" has crossed the Formosa Strait and made a landfall over southeastern China. It was estimated at 4 p.m. yesterday at 600 kms northwest of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It was moving west at 22 kph.

The southwest monsoon affects the western section of Luzon.

Extreme Northern Luzon will have rains and gusty winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

Western Luzon will experience occasional rains, while the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate.
