The eye of typhoon "Ester" was estimated at 2 p.m. yesterday at 810 kms east of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move northwest at 11 kph. A weak southwest monsoon affects the western sections of Luzon and the Visayas.
