Tropical depression "Caloy" was tracked yesterday afternoon as heading toward Panay Island.

At 4 p.m. yesterday, the center of "Caloy" was over Guimaras or 40 kms southeast of Iloilo City with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph. It is expected to move west-northwest at 19 kph.

"Caloy" is expected to be over the Calamian group of islands this afternoon. It is forecast to be over the South China Sea or 480 kms west-northwest of Coron, Palawan by Sunday afternoon, and 930 kms west-northwest of Coron by Monday afternoon.

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 is in effect over Bohol, Siquijor, Cebu, the Negros provinces, Panay, Cuyo Island, Masbate, Mindoro, the Calamian group of islands and Palawan.

These areas will have rains and winds of up to 55 kph and moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of southern Luzon, the Visayas and northern Mindanao will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers.
