San Juan wins DILG award

MANILA, Philippines — For implementing locally funded infrastructure projects, San Juan was recognized as a top-performing city in the 2026 National Capital Region Subaybayani Awards of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

San Juan was also named a finalist in the Most Significant Change category for the rehabilitation of the Pinaglabanan Shrine.

The awards recognize the city’s efforts to implement infrastructure projects and strengthen its monitoring to ensure that public funds translate into tangible improvements for the community.
