3 drug suspects nabbed in Sultan Kudarat

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Three drug suspects were arrested in an anti-narcotics operation in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on Friday.

The suspects, whose identities were not immediately known, were collared after selling an undetermined amount of shabu to an undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Kenram.

The arresting team seized from the suspects shabu with an estimated street value of P439,892 and marked money.

Aside from shabu, the suspects were reportedly supplying dried marijuana leaves in Isulan.

Probers said the marijuana leaves came from hinterland plantations along the border of Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao, which are reportedly maintained by a local terrorist group.
