MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Erwin Tulfo yesterday advised overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in France to take strict precautions when heading to work amid ongoing riots, looting and violent clashes between protesters and authorities in Paris.
The vice chairperson of the Senate committee on foreign relations also raised the alarm for Filipinos in Saudi Arabia following bombing attacks by Iran-backed Houthi rebels, which recently left seven OFWs wounded at the King Khalid International Airport.
Tulfo further cautioned Filipinos in Israel to avoid traveling to the West Bank as much as possible, citing reports of masked Israeli settlers attacking foreigners in the area.
The senator also urged the public to pray for the safety of all deployed OFWs and their families back home.
