LTO-7 extending services beyond regular office hours

CEBU, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO)-7 has launched nighttime operations in Cebu City, making it the first LTO office in the country to provide services at night.

The initiative is part of the 24/7 Cebu City One Stop Shop located on the second floor of Cebu Exchange Tower along Salinas Drive in Lahug.

LTO-7 Director Atty. Wendel Dinglasan, in a statement, said the move aims to make essential transportation services more accessible to the public, particularly those who cannot transact during regular office hours.

“At LTO Region 7, we continuously look for ways to make our services more accessible and convenient, ensuring that the public can avail themselves of essential transportation services even beyond regular office hours,” Dinglasan said.

The night-shift operation provides assistance for driver’s license renewal, motor vehicle registration, and distribution of license plates.

Motorists availing of the services are advised to bring all the necessary requirements. LTO personnel will assist applicants in completing the required forms and process their applications once the documents are completed.

The agency said the initiative forms part of efforts to improve accessibility and convenience in government services by extending assistance beyond regular working hours. — /MRM (FREEMAN)
